No Substitutions

You can take things off (we get it, people have allergies) but otherwise we do not offer substitutions. We want our burgers served the way we think they are best. Want it your way? You can always go to Burger King mannnnnn.

Ingredients

We source our beef from Harris Farms in Chatham, VA and grind it in house every day. It is grass fed/finished and antibiotic/Hormone free. So suck on that.

We cut and blanch our fries in house, make all of our pickles from scratch and use goddamn Duke’s mayo in most of our sauces. Because isn’t that nice?

Our buns come in daily from Lyon Bakery in Hyattsville, MD and our pandesal is from Angie’s Bakery in Virginia Beach.

We source pork from Aspen Grove Farms in Beaverdam, VA for our housemade longganisa and our eggs are from Sylvanaqua Farms in Montross, Va and they’ve got just the silkiest most succulent lil yolks you ever did taste.

You picking up on the theme yet ding dong? Yes, you could get a cheaper burger. You could also batter and deep fry a piece of your front lawn. Don’t be a nerd.

About Us

Cobra Burger was dreamed up by three idiots that are called Adam Musselman, Kevin Kennedy and Joshua Franklin.

They met working as whole animal butchers (technically Joshua was the cheese monger but shut up, I’m telling a story) at the former Stock Provisions location in The Fan District here in RVA.

One night after an insane holiday shift they got shitfaced at Bellytimber and wound up back at the shop (sorry Hunter) laying on the butcher blocks and listening to Sleep’s Dopesmoker. At some point Joshua said, “What if we did a burger pop up?” to which Adam replied, “I ain’t doing that shit unless we blah blah blah”

I’m not typing it all out. he had like, A LOT of stipulations. It was annoying. But he was right.

Fast forward to July of 2017 and the first pop up was held in an alley in Jackson Ward. Some people came. It was tight.

So anyway, they kept doing the pop up (mostly at The Veil Brewing), gained a following, opened a butcher shop, there was A DAMN PANDEMIC, closed the butcher shop, did a residency pop up at Hatch Cafe and then opened The Burger Hole on Februrary 26th 2021. The dining room opened shortly after.

A whole bunch of other shit happened but you get the gist.

Anyway, hi everybody we’re Cobra Burger and we’re real happy to be here
